December Journalling Prompts, New Interview, and a Glimpse Ahead
Hello gentle reader!
Hello! I’m pleased to share I was recently featured in an article about trailblazers on CanvasRebel. I’ve also planned a relaxing self-care challenge for January, and I can’t wait to share that with you. I’m also working on a new website, apartment therapy, and have been busy with holiday events, volunteering, and prep for the new year. Phew! Quoting Luke Cage here: “Forward, always.”
Onto the celebration… of you!
December Journaling Prompts
Please let me be the first to congratulate you on your writing this year. Throughout 2024, you’ve been journalling about your writing practice and your budding career. The “seeds” you planted this year will bear fruit, but as you’ve no doubt realized you need time to write, time to search for opportunities, and time to submit.
Before the new year begins, try to set aside an hour for quiet reflection to journal about what you’ve learned and what you’re most proud of. Here are some sample questions for you to explore.
What have you learned about your writing habits this year?
What adjustments do you want to make next year?
Have your writing practices changed since January? Why or why not?
Which projects have resonated with you the most this year? The least?
Have your physical and emotional needs changed this year? Why or why not?
Can you identify what blocks you from writing? What inspires you?
How did you challenge yourself this year? What did you learn from that experience?
How did you reward yourself this year? If you didn’t, plan to celebrate!
Let’s end the year on a high note!
