Hey, it’s been a while since I've sent a newsletter. Before I share my end-of-year summary, I wanted to say a few “Thank You’s!”, share a few pics, and offer some gift ideas. It’s been a few months since I visited the zoo, but I stil have lots of pictures from this year.
Last weekend, a huge show took place—PAX Unplugged! I wanted to thank the Hunter the Vigil Second Edition fans who dropped by the Studio 2 booth and the Cyberpunk RED fans who picked up a copy of Tales of the RED: Street Stories, too. I wasn't at PAX myself, but heard you really enjoyed these titles. Woooooo! That’s always great to hear and I'm sure everyone else involved appreciates your support, too.
Last month, I was blissfully concerned with two things and little else: writing and making art (via @BooksofM on Ko-Fi). Then, my projects eclipsed everything else. So, after writing some fanfic, and I tabled last month’s art project planning to resume that early this month. Unfortunately, the Great Orange One (my 17-year old polydactal manx cat) is staring down the rainbow road... And, I’ve been lying to myself that he’s perfectly okay and everything he’s dealing with is just old age. So, yes, more art is coming, and it might even be whimsical. Mario Kart has been a great stress relief.
I haven’t decorated, baked, or sent cards for the holidays yet, but I am planning to—just taking it a day at a time. I did have a lovely weekend, though, watching all kinds of holiday joy—Nutcracker and the Four Realms, Spirited, and A Boy Called Christmas—bundled up with my furry friend. I also started exchanging gifts, too, and am enjoying a Christmas cactus in full, hot pink bloom.
If you’re looking for a few gift ideas (or just something cool for yourself), check out my Amazon Wish list. Need something practical and awesome for travel? The Nanobag 6.0 Kickstarter just unlocked pre-orders. These bags are awesome! And, as always, there’s a ton of wonderful independent artists. Some of my fun favorites include Mamath, Heikala, and Celestial Fox.
